Christian Coppinger

Christian Coppinger is a medical malpractice, personal injury, and tort litigation attorney with extensive trial experience. He represents plaintiffs and their families, often under difficult circumstances, and aggressively prosecutes cases on their behalf. He recognizes that negligence frequently occurs due to systemic deficiencies within institutions or a simple lack of care by individuals—failures that can result in life-long, permanent injuries to innocent people. Victims of negligence and carelessness need highly skilled, effective representation, and Christian Coppinger and Awad & Baker Law are committed to standing up for them. He zealously advocates for clients to ensure they receive due justice under the law, with the goal of achieving the maximum value of recovery through settlement or trial.

Biography

Christian has 26 years of experience handling personal injury matters, including medical malpractice, construction accident cases (Labor Law 240, 241c), motor vehicle accidents, premises liability claims, and cases against municipalities. He also has substantial experience representing firefighters and police officers in cases predicated upon General Municipal Law 205, often referred to as the “Fireman’s Rule.”

Early in his career, Christian was mentored by leading civil defense attorneys and top plaintiff attorneys in New York City, giving him in-depth insight into the methodology, perspectives, and strategies of both sides in civil litigation. He brings strong legal research, writing, analytical, negotiation, and trial advocacy skills to every case. Over the course of his career, he has recovered tens of millions of dollars for personal injury clients and has handled several high-profile matters that received media attention.
